An Attack

Hello Edi, Nick, Uglies and Rigby.

Since you have sounded pretty desperate for stories on the podcast I have decided that it is finally time to share one of my own.

I was 13 and living in a home in Grosse Pointe Michigan.

As with most of the houses in my town our home was older, built in 1939.

Everyone in my family has experienced strange things in the house, but out of the four of us my paranormal experience has to be the scariest.

I was laying in bed one night, facing the wall, the empty half of my queen sized bed behind me.

I remember having a nightmare, but I’m unsure of what exactly it was about.

I woke up and opened my eyes.

Staring at the wall, I was processing the nightmare I had just had when I felt the mattress slowly dip down behind me.

Almost like someone had just laid down behind me.

I felt all of the air leave my lungs and my chest felt cold.

Before I could muster up the courage to look behind me I felt a stiff finger press into my back followed by the most intense sensation I have ever experienced.

It almost felt like a vibration radiating through my spine with intense heat.

It wasn’t painful, just intense and radiating out from that single fingertip point.

Unlike anything I have ever felt.

The next thing I remember was sitting up in bed, eyes wide open, a strained scream failing to escape my mouth.

I spent the rest of the night with the lights on, no way in hell I was going back to sleep after that.

I knew that my experience could not have been a dream or sleep paralysis just based on the sensation and lack of visual elements.

I googled my experience the next day and found out it was a demonic attack.

It’s been seven years and It still terrifies me, and most likely will for the rest of my life.

Thanks for giving me a place to share my story.

Love the podcast, it gets me through all of my lengthy art school assignments!
